WHAT IS PELLEVE SKIN TIGHTENING?

As we age, collagen production slows down causing our skin to lose laxity and firmness. As a result, wrinkles and fine lines form leaving you with smile lines, crow’s feet, and other bothersome creases.

Pellevé is a non-invasive wrinkle reduction treatment that uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep layers of the skin, which helps stimulate the natural regeneration of your own collagen.

How DOES PELLEVE WORK?

During treatment, the GlideSafe® handpiece gradually delivers radiofrequency
energy through the epidermis into the dermis. Heating of the dermal layer initiates
your body’s natural response to protect, heal, and grow NEW collagen

1 – 3 days after your procedure, the area treated will have a “post-treatment glow”

4 – 15 days after treatment, your body’s natural reaction to heal comes into play
as fibroblasts become present, and the collagen rebuilding process begins

15+ days post-treatment collagen synthesis and formal remodeling occurs.
The collagen regrowth process will continue days, weeks, even months after treatment.

Thus, it is recommended to receive at least 3-5 treatments about 4 weeks apart,

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR PELLEVE?

Pellevé is recommended for all skin phototypes with mild to moderate facial wrinkles who would like to revitalize their skin for a smoother, more youthful look. Tell your clinician if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator implant, or auto-immune disease, as the Pellevé procedure may not be right for you.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

3 – 5 treatments are recommended about 4 weeks apart to boost the collagen rebuilding process. Although some patients report visible results with as little as one treatment, a series of monthly treatments is recommended with yearly touch-ups for optimal results. Your physician or aesthetician can recommend the right amount of treatments for you.

HOW DOES A SINGLE TREATMENT TAKE?

Treating the entire face takes anywhere from 45-60 min. If you would like a specific area treated i.e. the delicate areas around your eyes, forehead, or smile lines, your procedure could be completed in as little as 30 minutes! Because the collagen rebuilding process continues to work days, weeks, even months after your treatment, a series of treatments are required for the best results.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THE TREATMENT?

You should avoid acne medication and retinols on the treatment area for at least a week prior to the procedure. Please come well hydrated and remove all make-up prior to your appointment.

WHEN CAN I RETURN TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES?

Pellevé is a comfortable, safe procedure that doesn’t have any downtime. Patients have reported that it feels similar to a relaxing hot stone massage. You might have slight redness after the procedure which is caused by your skin’s elevated temperatures during the treatment, and will subside soon afterwards. You will be able to return to your normal day-to-day activities immediately after your treatment.
